The following drawings depict many of the different bench seat types. Bench seat covers with solid bottom cushions are referred to as Solid Bench Seats and car bench seats with one (1) spit in the bottom seat cushion are referred to as Split Bench Seats, which may be either 50/50 splits, where both sides are even (the same size) or 60/40 splits, where one side is wider than the other. In any of the above two cases, the backrest may either be solid or split as well allowing for rear trunk access and may also have or not a center armrest, which may hold cups or open for storage. If your bench seat splits in more than one place, then it may be a 40/20/40, where each side is even (the same size) with a smaller center seat sometimes referred to as a "jumpseat", where when the backrest is in the down position, the center serves as a large armrest or console for storage. In all bench seat covers headrests may be adjustable, known as low back (L/B) or may be built into the seat known as high back (H/B). 40/20/40 Seat Configurations: A 40/20/40 Seat is a seat usually found as fronts but may also be found as a 2nd row rear on some models. This seat looks like a bucket but the center section serves as a seat as well, allowing for three (3) people to sit in the row. The center 20 may move up and down or be stationary and it may open for storage (console) or be solid. Headrests may be adjustable, known as low back (L/B) or may be built into the seat known as high back (H/B). Our split bench and 40/20/40 seats have Velcro where applicable to secure all ends and/or openings where needed and may also include a bungie cord for bottom seat cushion covers that can be tightened to further ensure a perfect fit if necessary.
